Local Knowledge Season 3 on Discovery Channel
The announcement all you fishing nerds have been waiting for is here! Local Knowledge Season 3 will air on Sunday, April 8th at 8 AM on the Discovery Channel. This season will be packed with exciting new fishing locations, experiences, and new knowledge to be had.
Local Knowledge, the TV fishing show, was created to celebrate every aspect of fishing: to acknowledge the similarities and the differences in fishing styles around the world and to recognize the characters who pursue this lifelong addiction to fishing and the outdoors.
Now entering their third year of filming, hosts Ali Hussainy and Rush Maltz are fully dialed in, and Season 3 promises to be the best yet.
Ali, from San Diego, California, and Rush, from the Florida Keys, will continue to explore their home grounds as well as exotic hot-spots, seeking out the unique aspects and the hidden jewels of each destination.
You can bet there will be plenty laughs along the way.
“The show is as much about having a great time and telling the story of a location and the people as it is about fishing. Of course, we will be fishing full speed, but we don’t want to leave out the local charm that makes up a big part of any fishing adventure,” says Ali, the President of BD Outdoors. “We want to eat and hang out where the locals do. That is where the real fishing stories are told,” continues Rush, a Key West charter captain. Rush laughs and adds, “Some of them might even be true!”
Local Knowledge is backed by many pillars in the fishing industry. “Without their support, we could not elevate the show to be what it is today. We are very grateful and humbled that they believe in our vision for a different approach to fishing shows”, said Ali. “Our partners are all integral parts of the fishing world and we are proud to be able to share their benefits with other anglers.”
Local Knowledge is excited to be partnered with Evinrude, AFTCO, Mustad, YETI, Simrad, South Florida Chevy Dealers, JL Audio, Andros Boatworks, BD Outdoors, Costa, SeaDek, PENN, Florida Keys & Key West, SeaKeeper, Casa Vieja Lodge, Nomad Design, Flir and AB Trailers.
Season 3 of Local Knowledge will kick off on April 8th @ 8 AM and will now be on the Discovery Channel.
“We are excited to share some epic trips with you, including a popping and jigging trip with Nomad Sportfishing in the remotest areas of the Great Barrier Reef. It will blow your mind,” said Ali. “You have to figure out a way to get there before you die!”
